Description
As the Assistant Director of Foster Care, you will be responsible for providing support and administrative supervision of workers in an assigned region. They are the agency's point of contact with multiple agencies, foster families, and community providers. You will report to the Director of Foster Care and you will work on-site, with travel required.
Responsibilities:
Part of the administrative team that assesses programming, staffing, referrals, and workloads to plan for program growth.
Provide supervision of workers across multiple offices, assuring they have the tools and resources needed to perform their duties.
Monitor and review the progress of cases with direct reports, making suggestions to support youth/adult growth and identify interventions that shape and promote appropriate social behavior.
Match program youth with foster parents.
Meet with LDSS supervisors/administrators regularly to review the progress of cases and programmatic needs.
Requirements and Education:
Master's degree with 1-2 years of supervisory experience and 3-5 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of supervisory experience and over 5 years of related experience
Experience in child welfare or juvenile justice preferred.
