Description
Robert Half is currently accepting applications for an achievement-oriented Assistant Controller to join a well-respected company. This role will not have Supervisory capacity but will work with accounting staff and report any updates to the Controller in this Assistant Controller role. In this Assistant Controller role, you will utilize your problem solving skills by taking initiative to identity and resolve problems. Apply as soon as possible! Your responsibilities in this role
Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports
Aid implementation and guarantee adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Extra assignments if necessary
Determine and form process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Contribute to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment
Backfill for Controller when necessary
Compose diverse procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met
Developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Aid with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Urge accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Produce relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report
Confirm regular account reconciliation to completion
Requirements
Command of Annual Inventory
Deep understanding of Fixed Asset Inventory
Inventory Audits experience preferred
Solid understanding of cost accounting
Sarbanes Oxley experience a plus
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Crucial accounting experience, including full G/L and Month End
Profound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards
