  The counter sales position is at the center of what makes our company work. When filling a role, w e look for motivated, welcoming, energetic salespeople to develop durable relationships with trade professionals, contractors, and retail customers.

  As a counter salesperson, you will serve as the first point of customer contact at the trade counter. You will work with customers in various ways, providing outstanding customer service, product knowledge and advice to help them meet their needs.

  Main Responsibilities:

  Pleasantly assist customers at counter or on the phone.

  Deal courteously and efficiently with customers while helping them get exactly what they need.

  Build good relationships with our customers, vendors & partners.

  Develop knowledge of our product lines and stay current on changes in the products in order to provide customers with accurate product information, specs & pricing.

  Develop and maintain proficiency ERP & other systems.

  Work with the management sales team on account planning to grow accounts and better serve current ones. (but no cold calling!)

  Follow-up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer’s satisfactions, respond to inquiries timely and professionally.

  Coordinate the sales order entry process with purchasing, shipping, credit and billing.

  Qualifications

  Our ideal candidate is an individual that has at least 2 years of sales experience and is passionate, welcoming, collaborative, and customer focused.

  2+ years of experience in the plumbing, heating, and HVAC industry is a plus.

  Have the ability to develop trusting relationships with customers, must be able to represent our brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and courtesy.

  Possess exceptional communication and organizational skills .

  Be detailed oriented.

  Enjoy working in a rapidly changing, customer focused environment where personal accountability is highly valued.

  Must be dependable, have impeccable attendance and demonstrate maturity in judgement.

  Position will sometimes require exerting up to 50 lbs of force when moving heavy heating equipment with a hand cart or other safety equipment.

  Other:

  Experience with Eclipse Solar or E-term software a plus.

  Position is hourly based, paid weekly. Commission on sales paid monthly based on sales.
