  Job Summary:

  This key FP&A position will support the corporate budgeting and rolling forecast process under the direction of the Sr. Director of Financial Operations for Akima, LLC and its 47 subsidiaries. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Analyst to gain considerable exposure to the overall financial data model at Akima, LLC, from financial structure set-up to end-user Financial Reporting deliverables.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Maintains an environment of sound financial and system controls in support of the annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly financial reporting to executive team, and annual plan consolidation.

  Maintains cost pool set-up and maintenance, monthly financial reporting and rolling forecast process, monthly reconciliation of cost pool allocations, Project vs Ledger Tables and SIE vs TB.

  Under direction, maintenance/configuration of CostPoint financial structures (General ledger accounts, Orgs, Pool Allocations and Financial Statements)

  Provides hands-on ad hoc financial modeling support for a variety of assignments and have a quick grasp of new business environments.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Must have 5-7 yrs. experience working with Deltek Costpoint Core modules.

  Must have 3 Plus yrs. experience using Cognos Query Studio and Report Studio.

  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related discipline.

  Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills.

  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; highly energetic and able to thrive under pressure.

  Advanced Excel skills.

  Ability to work effectively across functional departments.

  Experience working and thinking creatively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and demanding deadlines.

  Must have proven expertise with CostPoint and Cognos financial products and the ability to communicate and demonstrate their technical and functional experiences relative to the best methods for successful reporting and analysis of financial data to many users across the enterprise.

  Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Cognos.

  Highly detail-oriented with ability to follow through each task to its completion. This includes ability to digest large quantities of data in order to verify accuracy of Financial Reporting, Cost Pool Allocations, and FinancialStatement Presentation.

  Working experience and knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and FAR.

  Experience in Government Services market and contract structures.

  Working knowledge in the following areas: Indirect Rates, Pools and Bases, and allocation of costs from Home Office Segments and Intermediate Cost Pools.

  Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and charts, vlookups, conditional statements, linking, advanced formulas, data queries and macros.

  Familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.

  Excellent data management skills, including data mining, queries and knowledge of report writing.

  Significant experience with developing financial and operational models to support planning process, cost allocation metrics and financial results.

  Analytical ability to interpret financial data, solve complex accounting problems, and advance the development and use of analytical tools and methodologies for cost/profitability analysis.

  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; highly energetic and able to thrive under pressure.

  Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

  Experience working and thinking creatively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and demanding deadlines.

  Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must be a self-starter with high levels of motivation who can independently develop ways to troubleshoot and reconcile various financial metrics from Cognos and Costpoint data.
