We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Artificial Intelligence Technologist to join our team and shape the future of AI in Aerospace.
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Artificial Intelligence R&D Technologist to support BR&T in either Tukwila, Washington or Long Beach, CA.
We are looking for a broad range of experience including a Mid-Level or Senior Technologist to fill this position.
A successful candidate will be highly motivated with coding experience, data understanding, and machine learning knowledge and will participate in the research and development (R&D) as well as the rapid prototyping of advanced computing technologies for Aerospace product manufacturing and services. They will have broad knowledge of data analysis algorithms including data mining/analysis, various statistical techniques, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision or perception, text mining, natural language processing, graph theory and data visualization to analyze, predict, infer, extract and understand data/information.
The successful candidate should have a passion for AI, Computer Vision and Aerospace Manufacturing.
Position Responsibilities:
Research and development of groundbreaking technology solutions that push the boundaries of AI in aerospace.
Hands-on machine learning and deep learning model development, model optimization and fine-tuning.
Work with Foundation Models including LLMs, LVMs, etc.
Hands-on Cloud and on-prem back-end development for machine learning and deep learning application.
Work with Graph Data, Graph Query Language and Graph Neural Networks.
Large scale relational and non-relational data analysis including time series data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate software components, data science algorithms, and databases across computing platforms.
Develop and deploy Computer Vision models using platforms such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note--the selected candidate can anticipate working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, weekly.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, computer science or Engineering
3+ years of experience developing and deploying software programs
3+ years of experience preparing data to create and evaluate learned models
Experience with the following data analytics methods: Machine Learning, Simulation, Statistics, Data Mining, Regression, Survival Analysis, Time series models
Experience with SQL and Graph databases
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or similar
5+ years of experience developing and evaluating learned models, showcasing ability to unlock the potential of AI in Computer Vision applications
Familiarity with software frameworks like Robot Operating System (ROS).
Proficiency in utilizing PLM Software (Dassault/Siemens) to develop 3D modeling and simulation applications.
Experience with mobile app development (iOS & Android)
Experience with Linux OS
Experience with the end-to-end machine learning development and deployment pipeline, from data preprocessing to model deployment.
Experience with machine learning techniques, such as Support Vector Machines, Heuristics, Neural Nets, Markov Decision
Familiarity with Agile methodology and platforms such as JIRA, ADO, and Git; facilitating collaborative and efficient development processes.
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary Pay Plan Mid-Level: $113,050 - $152,950
Summary Pay Plan Senior Level: $136,850 - $181,150
