Job Description
Position Overview
As an Analyst, ITAM you will actively manage hardware and softwareassets within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, andrecording software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliancewith vendor contracts. The individual will assist in forming procurementstrategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. TheAnalyst, ITAM will also develop and make recommendations to improveprocedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality controlthroughout their lifecycles. This role reports to the Vice President,Technology Solutions & Delivery.
Responsibilities:
Track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties,maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts, according to processesand procedures currently in place.Enter all software and hardware serial numbers or identificationtags into tracking tool and ensure information is up to date,accurate, and auditable.Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and recordall findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support.Routine review of license assignment and add/modify/remove as neededExplore opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused orpartially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI fromcompany resources.Sort and stock all hardware and signal replenishment whenappropriate.Assign laptops and desktops for tickets and deliver to Endpoint teamfor imaging.Receive returns from Service Desk, HR, and walk-ins.Segregate hardware based on condition and update status asdeployable and non-deployable.Ensure deployable hardware is clean and ready for deployment.Possess an understanding of various software licensing models andsoftware contract terms.Proficiency with office productivity software (MS Office Suite,including Excel to review large data sets) and SharePointPreferences Familiar with and experienced in the taking ofEnterprise inventories, including techniques such as scanning,ongoing electronic inventory tracking.Participate in evaluation of the asset management process.Possess an understanding of the various types of current IT Hardwaretechnologies (network switches, routers, firewalls, appliances,servers, storage arrays, desktop/notebooks and various types of ITcomponents and peripherals.Required Qualifications:
1 - 3 years related work experience.Bachelors degree in Accounting, Information Technology or a relateddiscipline.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Knowledge of computing and computer systems, hardware, software andperipheral equipment.Works well alone or in a team setting.Excellent customer service skills.Position-appropriate mentoring/leadership abilities, ability toquickly master new systems and/or processes, capacity to stayorganized while managing competing priorities, and a deep customerservice orientation, both internally and externally.Preferred Qualifications:
IT Asset Management industry certification(s) highly desired.Benefits
