Overview
The Recruiting Manager will lead a team of talented Recruiters that source and drive a pipeline of qualified applicants to fill NDCP’s field and home office positions. The selected candidate will ensure all recruitment best practices are implemented in order to support our organization's hiring needs in a timely manner.
As a Recruiting Manager you will make sure the recruiting strategies used by the team are up to date and help them implement new ones. The incumbent will design and implement recruiting procedures, supervise the recruitment team, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Responsibilities
Update current and design new recruiting procedures (e.g. job application, pre employment and onboarding processes).
Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts for and provide support and strategy to fill those positions.
Work with the various Distribution Center leaders to determine recruitment strategies and processes to support their individual Distribution Center.
Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.).
Supervise the recruiting team and report on its performance. Ensure new recruiters and recruitment support staff are hired and trained appropriately.
Ensure recruiters comply with DOT regulations.
Manage weekly staff meetings and Recruitment Meeting for Leadership. Work with Operational leadership to manage recruitment pipeline and identify areas of concern.
Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience.
Develop metrics and reports that identify areas of improvement, trends, and provide visibility to current staffing needs in all businesses. Keep track of recruiting metrics (e.g. time to offer, time to fill, cost per hire).
Research and implement new sourcing methods (e.g. social recruiting, Boolean searches and AI).
Participate in job fairs and career events.
Manage the use of all agency recruitment.
Review applicant tracking system and suggest the best option for company needs.
Research and choose job postings options.
Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques.
Recommend ways to improve our employer brand.
Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations.
Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, Human Resources concentration preferred.
3 – 5 years of proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager or 5 -6 years’ experience as a Recruiter. Must have experience managing a team of Recruiters.
Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding.
Proven experience driving goals, executing projects and problem solving.
Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience working with advanced recruitment technology and talent management systems.
Strong computer/Internet experience and ability to learn and adopt new technology. Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases.
Ability to supervise and motivate others remotely.
Organized, efficient time management.
Creative and self-motivated – continually seeks ways to improve self and company.
Knowledge of labor legislation.
Familiarity with social media and other professional networks.
Strong decision-making skills.
