Job Description:
The Analyst, Commercial Growth Plan will support the Commercial Growth Team in defining the growth roadmap that will deliver Diageo’s long-term business objectives. Using consumer data and analytics, the Commercial Growth Plan Analyst will help to prioritize the highest value opportunities across categories, brands, and markets, and align the commercial and marketing organizations against these. The Analyst for Commercial Growth Plan will play a meaningful role supporting the Growth Plan Director and Managers while working closely with the broader organization to create Diageo's long term growth plan.
Complexity of Role:
Develop the roadmap for Diageo's long term commercial growth plan through volume, price and mix across markets, categories, and channelsBuild understanding of the commercial business and learn the needs/challenges of the divisions/distributors/brokersDevelop the ability to originate a strategic, multi-year plan and translate into practical initiatives and activities across the commercial and marketing organizationsFoster track record of success working within a matrixed organization and developing deep relationships with key partners at all levels
Key Outputs:
Support Commercial Growth Plan team and partner with collaborators to develop well-rounded, sustainable growth roadmapSupport innovation roadmap and pricing strategyCollaborate with team members to embed Growth Plan strategies and insights into commercial and brand planningPartner with Growth Operations Team to advise the tools required to automate and streamline reporting & capabilitiesPartner with Growth Insights Team to align Commercial Growth Plan with latest Industry performance and trends
Financial Complexity:
This role requires basic financial savvy to support market-level pricing strategies, budgets and priorities of markets, and functions
Management Responsibility:
This role reports into the Director, Commercial Growth Plan within the North America Commercial Excellence Organization
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Undergraduate degree in Business preferred1-2 years of CPG experience, preferably Beverage AlcoholExperience working with and analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, NABCA)
