This Position is for an Allison Transmission Diesel Technician -- Truck Mechanic with a  work location in Jackson, MS.

　　What are the Duties?

　　Diesel technician repairs all makes and maintains customer vehicles and other equipment by performing the following duties: 

　　ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

　　Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs. 

　　Troubleshooting and inspections

　　Inspect engine & transmission , diagnose cause of non-conformance

　　Paperwork and R/O documentation

　　Basic computer skills & good verbal communication

　　Assist other technicians when needed

　　Must be able to work independently

　　EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

　　Certificate from college or technical school Preferred

　　Prefer 3+ years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

　　Experience with Allison Transmissions required.

　　PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

　　While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

　　Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

　　CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

　　Valid driver's license.

　　CDL is a plus

　　Certifications preferred

　　Experience with Allison Transmissions required.
