The OpportunityUlteig is currently seeking a highly organized, engaging Quality andStandards professional to lead the training efforts and implement qualityimprovements for professional substation engineers working for one of our keyclients. The role will be responsible for training, staying up to date onthe client specific standards, developing processes and best practicesaround quality, and support any upcoming needs and questions specific to theclWhat You'll DoDay-to-day, the role will require supporting the Project Technical Leads(PTLs) in their questions and project execution - running collaborationand training meetings, operating as the "go-to resource" forclient-specific questions on leading/managing engineers (lifecycle,deliverables, technical), and performing quality reviews of deliverablesfor consistency. The role will improve on the existing resources developed forthe key client's project work - creating trainings and "deep dives" intotasks on the process diagram and improving the accessibility and understandingLonger term goals will include: the maintenance and updates of a successfulkey client on-boarding program to train new hires, the improvement ofprocesses & execution on projects to drive consistency and efficiency,support and improvement of a lessons learned process, and the creation of aquality tracking metric. It is assumed that 50% of this role will serve in aProject Technical Lead (PTL) capacity, running billable and technicalprojects. The remaining 50% will consist of the following:Training new PTL's on specific processes and lifecycle (including runningbiweekly PTL training meetings and recording the discussions)Serving as the "go-to" person for questions on key client-specific processesEngage with key client internal engineering staff, standards committees,construction groups, and procurement groups to identify process improvementsCompleting "audits" or high-level review of project deliverables forconsistency and qualityCreation of training content for client specific processesCapture lessons learned and update quality checklists as appropriate.Serve on Ulteig Quality Council as representative for the Substationdepartment and support Team Quality Champions across the departmentWhat We Expect from You:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural EngineeringPE License is required5+ years of experience understanding Key Client ProjectsTechnical expertise in at least one of the following substation designdisciplines: Physical, Protection & Control, and/or Civil/StructuralAbility to learn and train others on key client project requirements andlifecycleDrive to improve Ulteig's ability to execute key client programs anddevelop/support the PTL groupAbility to effectively communicate and partner with team membersAbility to work collaboratively across functioning teamsStrong organizational skillsMust have permanent work authorization to work in the USAs you consider applying for a position at Ulteig, we encourage you to thinkoutside the box - because we do!
