Responsibilities
Must be within Driving distance to the AZ campus and this is a Hybrid role.
The Informatics Nurse Administrator oversees all informatics activities to improve interdisciplinary clinical practice, clinical workflow, clinical decision-making, quality, and research activities. Provides leadership, consultation, and coordination of Informatics processes with organizational strategies and priorities. Is responsible for overseeing the management, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of computer applications and innovative patient care technology. Explores, participates in the recommendation, selection, development and implementation of clinical/nursing systems technology innovation for patient care delivery across the continuum. Supports leadership through activities that include community involvement and participation on committees.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in healthcare-related field. Minimum eight years clinical experience in Informatics. Minimum five years of progressive leadership roles in a health care organization. Silver certification in Quality Academy preferred. Strong project leadership experience with prior experience in automation of healthcare systems preferred. Evidence of advanced knowledge and competence in Informatics. Experience with EHR systems preferred. Ability to develop effective working relationships with a variety of individuals. Strong computer skills required. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills required. Broad experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable of current information technology and health care directives, including challenges that might occur. Epic certified as a Clinical Informaticist required within one year of hire date Current licensure/certification in healthcare field in applicable state required. ANCC National Certification in Nursing Informatics
