Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF acrossthe globe. Summary of Role:
The GF Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) department islooking for a 2024 intern with strong communication skills, ability towork independently and as part of a team, and desire to learn. The EHS&Sdepartment is focused on ensuring the safety of GF colleagues,contractors, visitors, and the environment through consultation,participation, and collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting hazard communication (HAZCOM) assessments, documentingobservations, and taking appropriate action(s),Performing confined space reassessments, including updating spacedocumentation and communication/signage,Performing area/task-specific hazard assessments to drive continuousEHS&S improvements,Assisting with performing ionizing radiation inspections,Assisting with the day-to-day EHS priority actions and responseOther Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supportall Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements andprograms.Required Qualifications:
Education - At least a sophomore at time of application and activelypursuing a Bachelor\'s in Environmental Science, ChemicalEngineering or related field through an accredited degree programduring the time of internship.Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academicstanding.Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experienceDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, schoolprojects, competitions, etc.Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and executeon solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment#InternshipProgramUS
