DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is a Confidential position which is responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager of Operations and Administrative Services, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Budget, the Budget Secretary intermittently, the Bureau of Budget Administration, and the Bureau of Budget Analysis while assisting in maintaining the effective and efficient operations of the office. The candidate will greet visitors and answer phone calls for the Governor's Budget Office (GBO), the Executive Deputy Secretary, Senior Management, and the Budget Secretary. This includes interaction with commonwealth agency staff and the public, on behalf of the Executive Deputy Secretary.
This position is responsible for travel arrangements and expenses for the Budget Secretary's staff and GBO staff. Additional duties include maintenance of resource accounts, assistance with distribution of materials to staff and Agencies and assisting with some Budget processes, including archiving. The Administrative Assistant 1 acts as the back-up for procurement and will assist with operations of GBO. The position may involve support activities in the Office of Budget for reviewing supporting documentation related to third party contracted services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week telework, 2 days a week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AdobePro, etc.Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification:Previous office experience, internship, etc.
