The School of Drama within the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking immediate adjunct instructor(s) for the Spring 2024 semester to join our BFA Acting/Music Theater program. This position is Pittsburgh-based and begins February 5th, 2024. Compensation will be negotiated based on experience.Candidates should hold a terminal degree in theater, drama, or a related field(s), or have professional equivalent experience, and have a strong ability to teach clowning, improvisation, or other physical approaches to acting/ movement techniques. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in a higher education setting or equivalent experience leading workshops, master classes, or residencies with university-level students.We are deeply committed to the belief that an inclusive and equitable environment populated with diverse artists inspires innovative ideas that influence and improve the world at large. Qualifications
Professional experience and some teaching experience is necessary; and an MFA is desirable.
