Garden State Growers is a family-owned greenhouse and outdoor production operation on over 500 acres specializing in the growth and distribution of wholesale perennials, annuals, ground cover, vegetables, and varied seasonal offerings. We serve large retailers who sell plants in sizable quantities, as well as garden centers, supermarkets and small retail businesses.

　　We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk to assist the Shipping department with maintaining and updating all shipping documents, processing paperwork, handling dispatch, clerical and various customer service duties. In this role you will need to be a proactive go-getter, able to handle a fast-paced environment. This is a second shift position.

　　Shipping Clerk Job Description

　　A.) Overall Purpose:

　　Primary responsibilities may include but not limited to safe and efficient handling of all inbound and outbound shipments, required paperwork and labeling. The establishment and maintenance of clear and effective communication between Sales, Scanning/Staging, Loading and Receiving departments to ensure seamless and consistent flow between all individuals and facilities always creating and maintaining visibility of any and all concerns or delays.

　　B.) Description of Key Responsibilities:

　　Handling of all inbound shipments and facilitate accordingly.

　　Assist with completion, distribution and filing of all documentation related to the Shipping Department, including, but not limited to: driver payroll, DOT regulations, claims, rental agreements, driver deliveries and rack return documents.

　　Coordinate and communicate with the necessary individuals regarding delivery delays.

　　Establish and maintain clear and effective communication between Sales, Scanning/Staging, Loading, Inventory and Receiving departments to ensure seamless and consistent flow between all individuals and facilities

　　Provide outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers.

　　All other duties as assigned.

　　C.) Required Skills:

　　Must have basic math skills

　　Bi-lingual a plus

　　Must be able to read English

　　Must be able to obtain a Lift Truck certification

　　Effective communication

　　D.) Typical Physical Demands:

　　Must be able to walk, bend over, reach & stand for up to 10 hours.

　　Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

　　Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.

　　The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
