Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team based in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts receivable records, handling various billing functions, and managing cash activity. This role is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily operations to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the Accounts Receivable Department.

• Process charges, credits, returned payments, and payment transfers on owner accounts accurately.

• Handle deposit posting to accounting systems diligently.

• Review, research, and respond to emails in a timely manner.

• Process closings including sales, resales, foreclosures, bankruptcy, etc.

• Update and maintain owner information in the appropriate systems accurately.

• Process name changes and address changes for owners in the appropriate systems.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions.

• Ensure regular attendance and punctuality to maintain the workflow of the department.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar roles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions is essential

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Familiarity with billing functions is required

• Must have the ability to manage and monitor cash activity

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
