Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Pasadena, California. In this role, you'll be responsible for handling accounts payable tasks, maintaining our financial records, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. This position is an integral part of our finance team and plays a crucial role in maintaining our financial stability and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices and expense reports, ensuring timely payment

• Maintain the accounts payable ledger, reconciling it to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted

• Manage ledger to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices

• Resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments

• Issue stop-payments and amendments to purchase orders as necessary

• Assist in maintaining and periodically reviewing annual budgets

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements

• Safeguard organizational value by maintaining confidentiality of information.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), 3 Way Matching, and Microsoft Excel to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.

This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Experience with 3 Way Matching in a financial or accounting context

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
