　　Position Summary

　　The Health Care Representative facilitates a variety of patient service-related duties focused on answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, verifying demographics and insurance information, documenting in the EMR, and performing administrative functions for a medical office through knowledge of medical terminology and applications. In this important front-line role, the selected candidate will provide efficient, responsive, friendly service, and accurate information to serve our patients.

　　Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

　　Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; a minimum of one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office, medical clinic, or in mental health office; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

　　Desired Qualifications

　　Familiarity with medical terminology; experience in scheduling, screening, and confirming medical appointments using a computerized information system; current or prior experience obtaining/checking authorizations; experience scanning documents and handling a multi-line phone system.
