Accounting Manager

Our manufacturing client, located in Novi, MI, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on an interim basis. The ideal candidate has led and mentored an Accounting team and is extremely proficient using QuickBooks.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the financial accounting system

Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.

Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:

Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Accounting Manager or a similar role leadership role

Proficient in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software

Strong skills in Process Improvement in the context of accounting

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
