Accounting Faculty
Northwestern College invites applications for a full-time faculty position (open rank) in our business and economics department to begin August 2024. The successful candidate can expect to teach courses primarily in the areas of accounting (e.g., Principles of Financial Accounting and some upper-level courses such as Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, or taxes). The teaching load for the position is 24 credit hours per academic year, normally three courses each semester, along with expectations for scholarship and service.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a CPA license and a master’s degree and demonstrate effective teaching in the areas of accounting. Individuals with significant experience—over 10 years—and a B.A. degree may be alternatively qualified.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in the field of expertise. Hiring preferences will be shown to those with experience in higher education and years of relevant experience in the discipline. A commitment to in-person, undergraduate teaching and mentoring is a must.
