About C-130J Product Support Engineer - Level 3

  Description: We are Lockheed Martin

  This Product Support Engineer position will be primarily responsible for Fleet Management of C-130J aircraft operating locations to achieve contractual mission capable rates as well as non-contractual program metrics. Readiness improvements and supportability will be managed through the collection, review and analysis of fleet data focusing on maintenance planning/scheduling; flying hour management; aircraft usage; TCTO/service bulletin requirements/impacts; support equipment applicability, availability, and serviceability; scheduled maintenance management, supply inventory and repairs; and maintenance metric analysis. Engagement and collaboration will be leveraged across the capability delivery system to support required readiness metrics as well as drive to increase readiness. Additional responsibilities will be to advise/assist field and depot sites on matters pertaining to maintenance, inspection, logistics, and operation of the C-130J Aircraft. Position requires interface with customer sites, depot sites, and LM field personnel at all levels. Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Develop and deliver contractual deliverables. Coordinate liaison technical and administrative assistance on investigation, engineering analysis and interpretation of results to customer, depot, and vendor sites. Coordinate assistance to the customer sites on equipment operations including installation, maintenance and operation techniques, adjustment, calibration, trouble shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection, and depot level repairs. Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment and test equipment associated with the aircraft. Provide/coordinate advice and assistance on the use and interpretation of technical orders, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other related technical publications. Provide on-going surveillance of customer, depot, and vendor sites for cost, schedule, and performance. Assist with the coordination of technical advice and recommend corrective measures necessary to ensure adequate maintenance and safety procedures are followed to minimize future problems. Assist with coordination in troubleshooting of unusual and difficult maintenance issues associated with aircraft. Analyze maintenance problems and suggest improvements where indicated. Support Program Management Review (PMR) meetings. Perform cost account management (CAM) of control accounts. Coordinate the establishment and ongoing management of Inter Work Transfer Agreements (IWTA) with LM Sister companies and Purchase Orders (PO) with vendors. Development of Basis of Estimates (BOE) for proposal activities. Domestic and International Travel to customer, depot, and vendor location may be required.

  Must be a U.S. Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  Basic Qualifications:

  - Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

  - Previous experience with aircraft maintenance, systems operation, troubleshooting, and/or modification/repair.

  - Experience in aircraft technical publications (i.e. reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, manuals and/or schematics)

  - Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, planning, and/or scheduling

  Desired Skills:

  - Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM)

  - Experience with Basis of Estimates (BOE) relating to Aircraft maintenance, modifications, and repairs

  - Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access

  - Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

  Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
