Job Description
JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE
The Account Manager in Training is responsible for developing an understanding of all company departments, their functionality and relationship to the individual utility districts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assumes responsibility for insuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department by:
Learning and formulating departmental goals, strategies, and operating policies and procedures and directing implementation of approved changes.
Effective understanding of producing a budget and managing the budget as it relates to a utility district.
Become familiarized with the interaction of consultants with the operation of utility districts in board meeting setting
Become efficient in inspections of utility facilities as it pertains to safety and operating procedures
Learn the production of monthly reports to be used at board meetings
Develop a strategy for client retention
Become proficient at reading and understanding of utility contracts and district rate orders
Gain knowledge to understand and adhere compliance to permits and safety regulations
Will obtain knowledge to be able to meet with local, state, and federal agencies at facilities to perform site inspections
Learn and understand company processes to be able to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of personnel
Understand the process as it relates to work order completion
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in use of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)
Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with deadlines
Self-motivated and goal oriented
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS/BA degree in a related field in the water and wastewater field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds
