This position is responsible for following all DFA Ingredient Solutions GMPs and working in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, and quality and sanitation requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Weighs each ingredient and adds to the batch Ensures the product is ready to dry Carries out all QA checks in the mix room Operates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specifications Performs necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance Follows established plant operating and cleaning procedures Follows Good Manufacturing Practices Assists with safety analysis and on the job training of new employees Attends educational training seminars and safety meetings Reports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisor Covers vacations and overtime as needed or required Assists with duties in other departments as needed Performs other work as assigned Required Skills Basic computer skills Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job safety analysis Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage Performs work independently, as required Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment, and Lockout Tagout Required Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Physical Demands and Work Environment Manufacturing environment Other Responsibilities Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
