Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the steel manufacturing industry, based in ELGIN, Illinois. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with handling accounting functions, utilizing various accounting software systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial services. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Skillfully handle account coding to ensure accuracy in our financial records.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial processes and operations.

• Work with ADP - Financial Services to manage and maintain financial accounts.

• Use Concur for effective expense management and reporting.

• Implement ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to optimize our business processes.

• Oversee various accounting functions to ensure efficient financial operations.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

• Apply accrual accounting principles to maintain and improve our financial health.

• Conduct auditing to ensure compliance and accuracy in our financial records.

• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions to facilitate electronic payments and collections. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required.

• Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must.

• Knowledge of Concur software is necessary.

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed.

• Ability to perform all basic Accounting Functions is essential.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is required.

• Prior experience in Auditing is desirable.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is necessary.
