Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer in the manufacturing industry. This role is based in JOHNSTON, Iowa, and requires on-site presence during the training period. This role will involve providing technical support for our fleet of automation systems, hardware, software, and documentation used in Research Seed Production (RSP) Seed Processing Systems, Seed Filling Systems, and Seed Handling Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Tackle and resolve issues related to hardware, software, servers, and databases

• Handle the intake and processing of service requests using JIRA Service Desk

• Develop and maintain support documents using Confluence

• Deliver direct user training and support to enhance user experience

• Leverage SQL and relational databases knowledge to create SQL queries and understand DB tables relationships and stored procedures

• Showcase a self-starter attitude by coordinating multiple tasks within tight deadlines and working independently with minimal supervision

• Exhibit excellent communication skills in writing and verbal interactions

• Demonstrate an understanding of low voltage electronics (48V or less)

• Show a basic understanding of mechanical, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Technical Service Engineer role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in using Active Directory.

• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware.

• Experience with Jira Service Desk.

• Familiarity with Desktop Hardware.

• Previous experience in Application Support.

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.

• Understanding of SQL, SQL Queries, and SQL Stored Procedures.
