About Account Executive II

  Aon is looking for an Account Executive/Broker II in Chicago, IL

  As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk - Construction Services Group in Chicago, IL

  Working with senior members of the team, your impact as an Account Executive II would include:

  Thorough analysis of current risk transfer programs, such as coverage and cost analysis and graphical representations of the program

  Insurance program structure planning and design of alternatives based on client objectives

  Prepare marketplace insurance submissions, coordinate, and assist in market meetings and negotiations, as appropriate

  Finalize all risk transfer quotes and complete a thorough comparison of program options as part of the client proposal presentation. Comparison to include changes in exposure, losses, coverage terms and conditions and cost of risk

  Contract Review

  Responsible for ensuring proper client service

  Policy and other related document checking

  Invoicing and other transactional duties

  Review and clearing audits and adjustments

  Claims review and analysis

  Assist team as needed, ie: special projects, daily backup

  Knowledge, skills, proficiency, and experience that will lead to success:

  Excellent social skills – listening, speaking, and writing

  Easily harmonize with high level clients

  Strong analytical skills

  Solid presentation skills

  Capable meeting deadlines

  Prioritize tasks according to importance and volume, but able to flex and adapt quickly to changing priorities

  Attention to detail, review work and peer review

  Time management and ability to multi-task

  Demonstrated ability to work independently

  Ability to work within and support a team environment

  Meet all Aon and regulatory compliance requirements

  Good math and reasoning skills

  Strong digital literacy, including:

  Possess advanced Excel skills to summarize and analyze data

  Ability to import/export data from various sources

  Proficiency using Word

  Proficiency using PowerPoint

  Resourcing information

  Experience using Outlook and other related MS Office tools

  What the day will look like:

  Collaborates with senior unit members to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business

  Accurately and timely responding to client requests and inquiries

  Preparing new business and renewal and keeping them up to date

  Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business

  Establish and maintain positive relationships with the underwriting community, especially key partner markets

  Processing, and/or issuing where applicable, new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions and cancellations

  Reviewing and proofreading all assignments, acquiring accurate signatures and dispensing as appropriate

  Calculating adjustments and premiums on polices and other insurance and provider documents

  Lead, measure and report on ongoing insurance or risk retention programs

  Handle daily tasks and key assignments with appropriate technology tools

  Preferred Experience:

  Bachelor’s degree

  Property and Casualty Insurance license (if not, will be required within six months of employment) ARM, CRIS designation

  Required Experience:

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  Five years in predominately casualty broking or underwriting environment

  The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

  This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] [production incentives] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
