  As an Indirect Regional Sr. Supplier Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, supplier performance management and negotiations! In this dynamic role, you will effectively engage and partner with internal team members to build sourcing strategies, procure and lead regular comprehensive supplier performance reviews.

  The development and implementation of category strategies and projects related, and not limited to, cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization and contract negotiation will be led by you and accomplished by building and maintaining supplier relationships to meet category and stakeholder requirements. This includes implementing structure needed to encourage a team around a shared goal, prioritize, coordinate expectations, define R&Rs, plan schedule, ensure alignment and continuously manage execution so everyone crosses the finish line together, delivering desired business outcomes.

  In this role, you will engage in market, category/segment and supplier benchmarking analysis to formulate, lead and implement strategies that optimize cost, supply and quality. Additionally, you will coordinate execution and results to achieve desired results; outcomes terms, conditions and pricing to leverage spend; leading and participating in department projects and serving as a contact for regional supplier information!

  Responsibilities and Tasks:

  Manage Supplier Relationship Regionally (in North America) as primary contact for assigned suppliers in category

  Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers

  Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with our strategic direction

  Ensure suppliers follow Micron’s code-of-conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives

  Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Senior Leaders or Executives

  Enlist senior management, when appropriate, to help reinforce commitment and involvement from suppliers

  Provide the voice of the supply base to Micron and provide the voice of Micron to the supply base

  Identify and Implement Supplier-Related Cost Savings Levers

  Participate in regional supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting

  Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners on a focused schedule

  Apply cost analysis and models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the regional marketplace

  Serve as the center of knowledge for assigned category and share knowledge with key customers and members of the category teams to enable more effective planning, forecasting and execution

  Drive Negotiations with Suppliers for Sustaining Purchases

  Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.

  Coordinate with Global Category Supplier Manager (where relevant) or lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation

  Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiate

  Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate monitor and enforce contracted terms and conditions

  Ensure Supplier Performance Management

  Partner with team members to build comprehensive view of supplier performance

  Collect and relay site specific priorities to suppliers

  Own and lead overall Supplier Relationships within the assigned categories

  Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for key regional suppliers, and benchmark supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement

  Lead in coordinating and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings

  The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

  $82,000.00 - $178,000.00

  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
