Job DescriptionReports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose: Line Operators run automated lines, monitor equipment during production and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Set up, change, change over, and operate line according to production specificationsInspect equipment before and monitor equipment during production. Confirm that it is working properly by checking process parameters and indicators.Set up specific part programs and parameters for metal stamping presses, feed lines, and dies using the companys standard practices and proceduresPerform quality checks according to the companys procedures to verify die set up prior to production runInitiate work orders for dies going into triage rack or die shop for repairsMake and maintain shims for blank and form diesMaintain die racks and mounting plates in organized mannerFix broken punches or sections of dies in the press or die shopExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsReport production quantities and labor detail accurately and according to the companys recording processTroubleshoot mechanical issues and identify the cause of errors, problems and defectsMaintain production related documents and logs to ensure availability and accuracyOperate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane, etc to move raw material and parts as needed:::::: section
QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience2-5 years of experience requiredExperience operating metal stamping pressesExperience with setups/changeoversExperience with loading coilsExperience with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools requiredAbility to perform standard shop computations (math)Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawingsAbility to perform basic maintenance of equipmentAbility to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures:::::: section
