Purpose:
The Actuarial Product Configuration Analyst III will be responsible for the design, coding, configuration, unit testing, and implementation of new annuity product propositions within the ALIP (Accenture Life Insurance Platform) policy administration system.

Accountabilities:
Translate annuity product specifications into ALIP system design, rules, and logic. Implement and maintain annuity product rules, functions, and transactional processes in ALIP. Utilize annuity product subject matter expertise in all facets while ensuring best practices and standards at met.
Supports efforts in ensuring admin system region stability via adequate version control and repositories. Uses DevOps tools (i.e., GitHub, Jenkins, etc..) to deliver software releases at a high velocity.
Advocates Agile practices and culture. Identifies interdependencies early in the product build process. Takes on any technical debt from the development life cycle to aid in the long-term health of various systems. Check bug fixes, feature updates, & Configurations into peer review and use both paired and mob programming techniques to deliver successful code deploys.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues as they arise in lower and production environments. Communicate effectively with various teams, 3rd party vendors and team members to improve turnaround time and efficiency.
Capability to complete code sprint commitments
Annuity product experience is preferred. Position will require the ability to develop a strong understanding of an Annuity product throughout the life cycle of a policy. Preferable candidates have experience in Financial Services or Insurance industry on applications, systems or processes relating to New Business, Suitability, Policy Administration, Claims, Reporting, Actuarial, etc. Understanding of Annuity transactions and policy value processing is preferred.
Ability to collaborate with the scrum team members from various areas of the organization to deliver value. Collaboration with Quality Assurance to develop a test strategy and test cases. Collaboration with Operations and Information Technology areas as it relates to product propositions on policy administration systems.
Ability to interact with and understand database structure, query building experience.
Through various technologies, develop automated solutions for purposes of expediting processing. These processes may include extracting or loading product rates into administration systems, extracting policy data from administration systems, and automating manual processes.
Assess and develop process enhancements within administration systems.
Ability to coordinate and facilitate technical meetings with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
4+ years work experience required, with at least one year of annuities or insurance experience preferred.
Microsoft Excel, Word, Office required.
Experience using PostgreSQL, C++, JAVA, SQL, Python, XML, XPATH, Visual Basic or equivalent programming language preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
Logical rules (And, Or, If…Then)
Experience using Confluence & JIRA software preferred.
Strong analytical skills and strong math proficiency
Understanding of SDLC processes, Project Management, Agile Project Development, Iterative Development
