　　Job Description:

　　Conducts field surveys. Locates, measures, and records field data using electronic surveying equipment including: total stations, data collectors and global positioning systems, etc. Processes field survey data using computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software to perform construction layout computations and property boundary computations. Leads field staff and provides technical and operational expertise to land surveying staff. Assist survey manager in developing survey project estimates and schedules. Identifies and uses project specific coordinate systems and datum. Assumes the responsibilities of a Rod Person or Instrument Operator as required. Documents pertinent field and office related activities in order to maintain accurate records. Checks and reviews the quality of the work being performed by land surveying staff to ensure it conforms to the firm’s QC/QA standards. Performs other duties as required.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　High School diploma or equivalent. 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

　　Skills and Abilities:

　　Expert knowledge of surveying measurement devices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work as a team player and oversee the work assignments of lower level staff. Proven ability to complete assignments accurately, on-time and within budget.
