Job Description:
UF, College of Dentistry is seeking a Customer Service Rep. The Customer Service Rep in this position in Dental Records/Patient Registration is required to be cross trained with dental records needs and patient registration and able to fill in on the switchboard and the screening clinic, both administratively and clinically.
Patient Services’ responsibilities include registering patients for about 1/3 of the College. This entails preparing for the day’s new patients’ appointments, gathering all demographic information, IDs, insurance information and procuring the necessary consent forms. It requires verifying appointment information and directing patients accordingly. Responsible for logging use of wheelchairs and sign stands. This position requires knowledge of HIPAA and Red Flag rules and adherence thereof.
Move charts from shell to Axium.
Provide coverage for switch boards in dental records as needed.
Ascertain patients have been picked up and lobby is tidy at all times.
This position requires the need to comply with various projects that come on a timely basis. Other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:
$15.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Skill to use computer effectively.
Able to take instruction from supervisor(s) and carry to satisfactory completion.
Able to understand and apply rules, priorities, policies and procedures to daily/overall work schedule.
Ability to establish and maintain good work relationships with faculty, staff and students.
