Global Mile - Cross Border team is responsible for providing FBA Sellers a one stop shop for international transportation service, providing end to end supply chain solutions for our Customers. Amazon Global Logistics is seeking a Customer centric leader, who wants to be part of this journey, and manage a team of people responsible for daily compliance activities. The individual will be responsible for helping develop the operations and execution infrastructure for the compliance team. This person will work closely with various internal teams to establish processes and back office functions. The individual will then be responsible for resource planning, goal setting and managing key success criteria. This person will be responsible to manage performance, develop, train and skill resources, while managing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce Customer escalations. Key job responsibilities
A Customs Brokerage Lead will deal with escalations on complex entries that include highly regulated products which involve a variety of dynamic government agency requirements, along with managing a sizeable team (up to 20) within general Customs Brokerage Operations. This role will need to have solid industry knowledge of the Title 19 CFR & HTS codes and can reference when needed as well as well-versed in entry filing and trade regulations like product classifications, documentation requirements, PGAs, and Section 301. A Global Customs Lead will assume ownership of an assigned program Cross-Border shipments and will deliver results for our Sellers and Importer Customers. We are looking for candidates who have excelled in leadership roles (outside Amazon) with P&L responsibilities in a geographic location(s) and/or zone(s).

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years customs brokerage experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
2+ years people management experience
3+ years’ experience in Project/Program Management
Proven track record in building new businesses processes
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (strongly preferred)
Multilingual (Mandarin preferred)
Experience with SQL and other automated self-service reporting tools
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in an independent setting
Proven ability to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels
Global perspective and solid understanding of business objectives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $163,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
