Job Description
Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager is responsible to ensure the products produced meet or exceed customer expectations and industry and Food Safety requirements.
Essential Duties
Develop & oversee the facility quality program, which includes Fuel Ethanol, Industrial Alcohol, Beverage Alcohol, and Animal Feed productionLeads the facility Food Safety / Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points teamsEstablish and maintain quality procedures, standards and specificationsEvaluates facility operations & lab performace to ensure quality procedures are followed and documented properlyEnsures the facility complies with Food Safety Modernization ActDevelops & oversees corrective & preventative actions plansMaintains document history filesInitiates & tracks document status reviewMaintains restricted documentation area, including access to electronic filesIssues batch records and controlled formsDevelops document templatesManages the document change control processAssigns document numbers & maintains document indexEnsures proper tests are performed to ensure qualityPrepares quality reports to managementMaintains proper records of quality tests, procedures & standardsRequirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word & ExcelStrong work ethic & self-motivation, with a high sense of urgencyEffective oral & written communication skills, including comprehension of oral & written instructionsStrong documentation skills, with an eye for detail & organizationAbility to build & effective relations & work as part of a teamCapacity to follow procedures without deviationBachelor of Science Degree Food Science, Chemistry or related disciplinesWork Experience
Previous experience in quality control, food safety, food / feed / pharmaceutical production highly desirable.
Hours of Operation
Position is located in Marysville, Michigan. Position is full time salaried.
