This position is part of the Vibrational Spectroscopy business within Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). The Vibrational Spectroscopy business is a market leader in analytical instrumentation involving vibrational spectroscopic analysis of molecular structure. The Product Database Specialist will support the global sales and product teams from the Madison, Wisconsin facility.
Location: Onsite in Madison, WI
Job Summary:
This position will work across functions within the spectroscopy business including product management, sales, service, operations, finance and order processing. The position is responsible for maintenance and communication of published product descriptions and price lists for the broad spectroscopy product line which is sold through multiple sales channels throughout the world. In addition, the product database specialist is involved with facilitation of the product lifecycle management process for the site. The product database specialist is a member of the product management team reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, and has high visibility to multifunctional teams and has great potential to growth in career development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining and updating MS Excel automation tools for product pricelist publish and update.
Handling the change control and communication process for pricing, promotions, product availability, and description of the site’s commercial offerings.
Responsible for ensuring that established guidelines are followed and that high standards of accuracy are maintained regarding changes to published descriptions and pricing of commercial offerings.
Partner with Product Managers to produce and implement commercial price lists for new product releases, regular and non-standard parts release and regularly scheduled revisions.
Extensive use of Microsoft Excel and SAP for product release and product lifecycle management.
Provide day to day support to the Product Management, Sales, Service, Operations, Finance and Order Processing groups.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree in business, marketing, or and data-related field minimum requiredExperience:
1+ years working experience in business, marketing or data analysis role
Working experience with SAP CRM preferred
Experience in MS EXCEL Macros and VBA.
Proficient knowledge of MS tools Outlook, Excel and Word is highly desirable.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of diplomacy.
