In addition, there are also possible fulltime opportunities with other McWane Divisions throughout the US, and globally as well.Students in our Co-Op program will gain valuable hands-on experience in all facets of manufacturing and operations in a Foundry Environment. The program fosters personal development and you will learn about leadership competencies through training, networking, and coaching. A blend of On-The-Floor and In-Office work assignments will help the applicant develop a wide range of experiences in:Project Management - where you lead and see projects through to completionProblem Solving - define problems, resolve cause, and develop and implement solutionsReal world challenges that all businesses face and are meaningful to understandInteracting across all levels of the organizationNote: There are opportunities to do double-semester Co-OpResponsibilitiesJob Description:A successful candidate will...Exhibit general mechanical proficiency and learn to analyze and understand machinery at a fundamental level.Develop a working knowledge of fabricated products by working on engineering projects from mechanical design to process improvement. Project difficulty will be tailored to the individual.Collect information on new and existing processes, explore what works, what doesn't, and why. Create reports and use lessons learned to make improvements.Apply fundamental engineering principles and equations to real world problems in a manufacturing environment. Use AutoCAD and Inventor to layout and detail designs.Discuss problems and designs with employees across all levels of the organization. This will include operators, engineers, maintenance personnel, and managers.Adapt to problems. Some problems that you will face may be ambiguous and multivariant. When problems arise, you will be able to use your resourcefulness and adaptability.Qualifications
