POSITION SUMMARY
The night shift (12 hours, 8pm-8am) Lead Technical Associate reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Provides technical support, primarily mechanical, to production operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates, sets-up, adjusts, changeovers/trouble shoots and repairs/maintains all departmental production equipmentResponsibilities include production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operationProvides leadership and training for associates on production floorMust project positive attitude with excellent team skills. Interacts with machine shop personnel to resolve and improve equipment operation and processesProvides leadership in a team environmentTrains and directs TA and fellow associates on proper set-ups and repairs of equipmentTrains TA's in methodical problem solving techniquesWorks with engineering and Manufacturing Technicians (MT's) to direct completion of required projectsUses available resources: engineering, machine shop, production and maintenance departments as requiredOrganizes and directs improvement projects to increase equipment utilizationThese are to be done in conjunction with area engineer, production supervisor and other resources that may be requiredAudits preventative maintenance (PM) procedures and activities of TA's and fellow associatesDocuments electronically PM audits to supervisor for corrective actionsAnalyzes equipment failures for frequency of failure in order to modify/update PM work orderSets up and debugs equipment to documented specificationsDeviations from these specifications must be cleared with the supervisor or EngineeringMaintains equipment in working order to produce product within specified quality and quantity limits, adjusting, trouble shooting, cleaning and repairing as necessary.Maintains equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problemsMUST have clear and legible handwritingRepairs equipment and reports major problems to supervisorCoordinates maintenance activities with Maintenance Department, Engineering, or other technical resources, as needed for major repairs/production issuesPerforms preventative maintenance on the equipment as specified in the PM program or as needed for smooth operationTracks and audits PM's to ensure they are completed and closed out in the SAP systemTurns on machines and ensures proper functioning of machines and control panelsMakes certain safety guards are in position and working properlyVerifies that part tracks/rails are clean to ensure free travel of all component partsMonitors production machinery as needed to ensure top performance

Supports all upstream and downstream operationsMaintains toolbox and surrounding area neat and cleanVerifies that equipment-surrounding areas are clean during the shiftPerforms other duties as required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience requiredAssociates Degree (Major: Advanced Mechatronics Technology) preferredPrevious leadership roles or supervisory experience requiredMechanical Proficiency and Experience required
Proficient with basic hand tools.Knowledgeable of feeler gauges and other tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances.Minimum of 2 years as Set-up, Technical Associate role or equivalent.Should be familiar with trouble shooting cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, and ball-valves.Basic electrical knowledge and experience with PLC's and pneumatic systems preferredCompleted coursework in following subjects required (relevant experience may be substituted for individual courses):
