A Lead Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Dallas, TX area. This position brings over a decade of expertise in building electrical systems, overseeing projects such as semiconductor manufacturing and data centers with a focus on technical quality, innovation, and client interaction.

responsibilities:
Lead Electrical Engineer role in a hybrid position based in Portland, OR
Work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities
Accountability for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, grounding, lighting, and power plans
Assist directly with more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors
Work closely with client owners to establish design requirements and produce construction documents
Collaborate with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team
Fast-paced, dynamic environment
Curiosity, talent for multi-tasking, collaboration, and extreme organizational skills are essential.
Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
10+ years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
Experience with UPS and EPMS systems
Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
3+ years of Semiconductor, Data Center, and/or Mission Critical facilities electrical design experience
Extensive experience with electrical engineering power distribution design projects, mission-critical facilities experience is a plus
Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components such as Switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
Professional Engineering License (PE)
Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
