　　Summary

　　The Formwork Engineer designs and prepares formwork layout drawings addressing the technical aspects of formwork layout, forming materials, system selection, and proper implementation. Supports project planning to ensure the most efficient, safe, and economical forming systems are incorporated in the project design. When required, work may be reviewed and stamped by Licensed Engineer.

　　Roles and Responsibilities

　　The Formwork Engineer will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. 　　Produces Formwork Drawings

　　Manages Material Production

　　Inspects Formwork Installation

　　Oversees Staff

　　Ensures a Safe Work Environment

　　Participates in Training/Certifications

　　Requirements

　　Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology; and 2 or 4 years of related experience and/or training

　　Must be an Engineer in Training (EIT) and pursuing a path towards licensure or licensed in applicable state
