Job Description: Regions Hospital seeking an LADC to join our team in providing treatment services within our community residential treatment program. Minimum Qualifications: Education: *Associates degree in substance use disorder counseling, human services, social work or related field *Graduation from an accredited substance use counselor training program Licensure: *MN Licensed Alcohol & Drug counselor (LADC) through MN Board of Behavioral Health, OR *Alcohol & Drug Counselor Temporary License (ADC-T) with board approved supervision availability & must obtain LADC within 12 months of hire *Current medication administration certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire *Valid driver's license with no driving restriction and ability to drive residents as needed Experience: *At least one year of experience in the delivery of services to those with substance use disorder AND *Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner by meeting one of the following qualifications; *Work experience of 4,000 hours or 2 years full-time in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorder; or traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities; OR *Coursework of at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields and meets one of the following: a. Has at least 2,000 hours in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorder; or traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities b. Has completed a practicum or internship that required direct interaction with adults and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields c. Is in the process of completing a practicum or internship as part of a formal undergraduate or graduate training program in social work, psychology, or counseling; OR *Master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field Duties: *Substance use disorder screening and assessment *Provide substance use treatment services & evidence-based practices *Ensures the general health, safety, and welfare of all program residents during shift *Maintains comprehensive records of resident activity and interventions with program residents through daily logs and incident reports *Provide crisis intervention, as necessary, to address significant behavioral, medical or psychiatric problems *Monitors, administrates, and sets up medications according to individual treatment plan and residents with daily living skills *Will act as a Mental Health Practitioner when substance use counseling services are not needed Benefits: *Effective the first day of employment! *Medical and Dental insurance *401(K) with employer match *Employer paid LTD and optional STD plans *Employer paid basic life *Flexible spending account (FSA) *PTO/Paid Time Off Plan *Eligible for PSLF program *Onsite fitness center & employee health clinic Additional Information: .6 FTE 3:00pm to 11:30pm weekday and e/o weekends, 3:00pm to 11:30pm at Afon RHSC is committed to building a diverse workforce with equitable access to career opportunities.
