　　Registered Nurse - Medical/Telemetry Unit - 36 hours per week - 12 hour day shift

　　Full-Time Benefit Eligible

　　Shift: Days 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with alternating weekend schedule

　　GENERAL SUMMARY:

　　Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

　　UNIT OVERVIEW:

　　30 bed unit. Unit specializes in Peritoneal Dialysis. RN’s trained in CAPD procedure. Telemetry interpretation. Patient population consists of: multiple comorbidities with complex medical issues requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, including Cardizem cardiac drips and specializing in Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD).

　　EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

　　BSN preferred.

　　Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

　　Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

　　Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

　　Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

　　Telemetry or hospital experience preferred.

　　CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

　　Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
