As an Installer III, you are responsible for reading and interpreting the proper installation specifications for various construction projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.In addition, you will:Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipmentDesign, identify, and requisition parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for groundingCreate comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and accurate equipment requirements to fulfill customer ordersCreate or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) as a result of installation or engineering activitiesPossess familiarity with specifications and drawings required to assemble and integrate telco transmission equipment into a Central Office environment.Have the ability to utilize hand tools required for the installation of transmission equipment including crimpers, wire wrap guns, strippers, wrenches, hammers, drills, stencils, etc.Bring Inventory and transport tools/materials as required to the job site.Act in a supervisory manner and provider-level to lower-level installers on individual job progress, material shortages, customer complaints, and unsafe or inoperable tools.Possess familiarity with Customer installation and quality standards including IP72202.Provide for self-quality check of all portions of job responsible for prior to sign-off.Assemble, modify and install overhead ironwork, relay racks, transmission equipment, and cable ladder.Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment.Cut and terminate single, multi-strand, and Coax cable with power lugs, multi-pin connectors, and BNC connectors. Stencil installed equipment and terminations.Establish and maintain a professional rapport with customers, supervisors, and, Co-workers.Maintain and provide accurate departmental paperwork as requested.Know all safety and security requirements and follow them implicitly. Assist in maintaining a safe and hazard-free work area.Dress appropriately for the job environment.Be proficient in all phases of installation and testing of equipment to provide for progression in the business.Review installation specificationsWillingness to travelQualifications
About You:Safety is a part of your day to dayYou have a track record of completing work with a high level of qualityYou have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your workYou are looking for long-term projectsYou enjoy getting your hands dirty with your teamHigh School diploma or GED and Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or equivalent as determined by Installation ManagerYou have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office InstallerYou respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve partnershipYou have the ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel and work within company-provided databases to update job statuses.You have the ability to lift tools and equipment as needed (minimum 10 lbs)You are proficient in customer specifications and standardsYou possess excellent communication Skills - Excellent communication skills; speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and gets clarification; demonstrates group presentation skillsYou have excellent time management; organizational; plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plansYou are dependable - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; keeps commitments
