The Training Specialist provides support, training, and guidance to new and current direct care staff regarding service plans, direct consumer care, and CRI policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Valid Drivers License
Current Auto InsuranceReliable VehicleDiploma/GEDThree (3) years experience and knowledge in direct care positions working with people with physically disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or the elderly. Ability to pass all required background checksDuties include but not limited to:
Successful training and on-the-job orientation of new direct care staffSuccessful continuing education training for existing direct care staffCommunicate problems/concerns to supervisor in timely mannerAssist in identifying specific training needs of direct care staffParticipate in the development of training itemsLog and document training efforts as requiredServe as a point-of-contact with new direct care staff to orient the employee and ease their transition to CRI and personal careComplete reports to administrative staff as requiredPerform on call duties as scheduled Perform attendant care duties in a safe and conscientious mannerEstablished in 1990, Community Resources for Independence (CRI) is a community based, non-residential, non-profit corporation that provides services to individuals with disabilities in order to maximize their independence and the accessibility of the communities in which they live.
