PRIMARY FUNCTION
Supports client group/s and provide functional expertise in all aspects of HR (staffing, talent strategies, capabilities, compensation, org design, culture, etc.) in support of business goals. Leverages and mobilizes key partners to support business unit vertical. May be involved in cross functional work and/or cross business unit reach.
Working as an HR Business Partner at Target you will provide strategic HR support to global key Technology businesses. You will also provide functional expertise in all aspects of HR (staffing, talent strategies, capabilities, compensation, org design, culture, etc.) in support of business goalsDirectly supports client group and consults business leaders on holistic HR aspects (i.e. staffing, talent, compensation, org design, etc.) with input, guidance, and support from peers or leaderLead and customize talent routines within a functional area to ensure talent strategies help achieve overall business unit goalsGuide leaders on organizational design principles and implications of org decisions (i.e. spans & layers, functional alignment, resource mix and optimization, location strategies, etc.) with input, guidance, and support from peers or leaderLeverage HR data to drive improvements in retention, engagement, and Diversity & Inclusion metricsConsult with business leaders to support strategic workforce needsLead delivery and application of HR cyclical processes (Talent Routines, BTS, Annual Pay & Performance, SWP, etc.) to the business unit through collaboration with key partnersHR and business unit project support/leadership as neededMay be involved in captainship or committee workModels the way with Target behaviors, diversity and inclusion, learning agility, and guest mindsetStrategize with the business to translate pyramid objectives into talent routines and priorities.Assess talent and lead as a brand ambassador who understands and champions Target's purpose, beliefs, and behaviors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with executives who lead these business to partner through: Talent Planning - Plan and Engage with business leaders on customized talent routine focused on enabling to understand Top/Critical talent, success measures, Succession planning, high potential talent. Ensure talent strategies help achieve overall business unit goals. Consults with business leaders to support strategic workforce needs. Leverages HR data to drive improvements in retention, engagement, and Diversity & Inclusion metrics. Org Design - Solves organizational issues to align with business strategy and capabilities required. Guides leaders on organizational design principles and implications of org decisions (i.e. spans & layers, functional alignment, resource mix and optimization, location strategies, etc.) with input, guidance, and support from peers or leader TM Engagement - Ensures HR availability and visibility. In partnership with the Employee Relations and Legal teams, responds to and investigates team member issues and policy violations. Ensures Best Team Survey is developed, facilitating BTS Survey feedback sessions and ideating action plans in partnership with business leaders. Reputation Management - Provides constructive advice and HR problem solving to key clients. Advises client team members and leaders in conflict situations. Ensures consistency in corrective action. Ensures adherence to all HR policies and programs. Supervises with leadership to facilitate the development of strategic plans to support reorganization efforts. REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Human Resources Director. Works closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Pay and Benefits, Mpls HR Teams, Target India leadership, Leaders & TM's of supporting client group.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience5-7 years of human resources generalist or related experienceStrong employee relations skills. Expertise in Indian laws and market policies/procedures.Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to influence others and manage conflict.High level of initiative and self motivationStrong project management and follow-up skillsAbility to independently analyze and problem solveAbility to read, interpret and revise policies and proceduresExcellent PC skillsDemonstrated skills and abilities in one or more of the following: ER, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Strategy, or Training & Development DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: Large company/tech experience. Experience in MNC environment preferred.Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
