Job Summary and Qualifications
The Financial Analyst II supports Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) financial reporting activities and general financial operations. S/he serves as an internal consultant to support MCA leadership in the areas of financial analysis, business management, business analysis, and project implementation. This role will assist in the annual budget preparation, financial reporting and projections including variance analysis, cross-business consulting and some payables and contract maintenance functions.
What you will do in this role:
· Support the execution of the invoicing process, including ensuring appropriate coding, preparing journal entries and accruals, etc.
· Assist in budget preparation and ongoing monitoring activities.
· Prepare and analyze monthly data from multiple sources and compile it into meaningful reports, identifying trends and creating presentations for Marketing and Corporate Affairs senior leadership.
· Work with corporate accounting department and MCA Director of Finance to process and track invoice payments, intercompany transactions, and other payables activities
· Understanding and stewardship of HCA accounting policies and the project life cycle.
· Independent creation and continuous enhancement of visual financial reports that communicate clear, concise financial messages to audiences of financial and non-financial backgrounds.
· Month end financial reporting (actual and projections) including identification of variances to budget and projections, root cause identification and analysis.
· Assist MCA Director of Finance in budget development and monitoring, budgeting tool creation/maintenance, and information gathering.
· Work with corporate accounting department and MCA Director of Finance to process and track invoice payments, intercompany transactions, and other payables activities.
· Execute ad hoc financial analyses
What qualifications you will need:
● Bachelor’s degree required, CPA preferred
● 3-5 years’ work experience required
● Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting/Finance-related experience required
● Healthcare Industry knowledge desired
