  Position Summary

  Looking for a great summer internship experience? Here’s your chance to gain valuable work experience with a leading health care provider.

  This internship will begin on 5/28/24 and the duration of the internship program is 12 weeks. Please note that this is primarily a remote working arrangement, with some days onsite at a Portland, ME location. Interns must live in Maine throughout the 12-week program. The pay rate is $20/hr. If interested in multiple internship opportunities, please submit up to 2 applications.

  The intern will assist with strategic projects related to but not limited to the following:

  • Learning and utilizing several key systems, such as Microsoft SCCM and Ivanti Security Controls to deploy, monitor, and audit patches to all current production systems and endpoints.

  • Performing installation and configuration of server level software to support ongoing projects.

  • Learning and assisting with endpoint image creation and deployment through Microsoft SCCM and related tools.

  • Attending design and change management meetings to increase knowledge of IT system workflows.

  Job Description

  ​

  Education/Experience:

  Currently enrolled in two or four-year degree program such as Computer Science, Information Technology Management, is preferred

  Basic understanding of Windows Server environments

  Experience with scripting

  Genuine interest in Systems Administration (Architect, Infrastructure)

  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, or strong willingness to learn

  Experience working in an administrative and/or customer service-oriented environment preferred

  Skills/Knowledge/Competencies (Behaviors):

  Demonstrates an understanding of and alignment with Martin’s Point Values.

  Strong organizational skills

  Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner

  Ability to take direction from multiple individuals and prioritize tasks appropriately to meet deadlines.

  Ability to function independently (good sense of judgment)

  Ability to provide the highest level of customer service both to internal and external customers

  Effective time management skills

  Flexibility in tackling assignments of varying complexity
