Position: Farmworker, Seasonal 3/1/24-11/30/24
REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have or be able to obtain a drivers licensewithin 30 days of hire; 3 months of experience;
WAGE: $16.63 per hour, biweekly pay periods
BENEFITS: Employer provides transportation to worksite and may provide housing
DAYS AND HOURS: Monday - Saturday 7:00 am - 4:10 pm, 55 hours per week
JOB DUTIES: Job requires the operation of various tractors and farmequipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land;and plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, andtransport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment thatworkers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to,tractors with various implements, sprayers,combines, back-hoes, mowers, track-hoes, and farm trucks. Non CDL farmtrucks will be loaded with agriculturalproducts and driven on the farm and to storage facilities.Participating in irrigation activities including operating well motors,operating and maintaining pivots, draining excesswater from fields, and monitoring fields to check on and maintain adequatewater supply to crops. Employees will bereceiving crop for storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiledgrain; transporting grain from fields to grainbins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level;operating grain conveying equipment;monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shovelinggrain. Duties also include performing generalmaintenance and repairs of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, andall farm equipment; ensuring operational areasare organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment torepair, clean and maintain farm vehicles,machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; andregularly servicing equipment. There are fewtypical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locationsoften and engage in various generalfunctions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and fieldconditions. The employer reserves the right toincrease workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance,or other factors that are solely based on thediscretion of the employer.
