Become an Energy Efficiency (EE) Operations & Analysis Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll support EE program managers by providing complex data analysis, synthesizing recommendations, and leading cross-functional projects. Your responsibilities include devising accurate steps to enhance the effectiveness of SCE-led and third-party programs, based on critical performance data analysis. You will ensure clear output definition for the team, review work by Specialist-level team members, and provide coaching on technical and non-technical aspects. Beyond data-related tasks, this role is vital to the success of assigned programs, providing key thought partnership to EE program managers and leaders, including delivering data-driven recommendations.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Providing thought partnership to program managers to accelerate results – including:
Creating recommendations based on data produced by junior team members
Partnering closely with Advisors/ Senior Advisors in Performance and Resource Management to resolve program issues
Performing complex analysis – including:
Driving the development of leading indicators to proactively manage programs (e.g., types of customers more likely to participate in programs, etc.)
Executing triangulation across multiple data sources when necessary
Defining key pieces of analysis to perform and develop output for junior members of the Operations and Analysis team – including:
Reviewing output created by Specialists and Senior Specialists for quality and accuracy and providing feedback
Coaching and developing junior team members on the team on how to perform analytics
Co-developing processes and procedures to meet compliance and operating requirements – including:
Verifying data assembled by Specialists to report to California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) on customer savings resulting from the incentive program
Reviewing output of critical program activities, such as legacy institutional and partnership support, annual contractor safety forums, etc.
Attending solicitations meetings and providing input on contract development and vendor selection based on knowledge of market.
Qualifications
The essentials
Seven or more years of analytical and project support experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Economics, Administration, Information Technology, Data Science or related field.
Two or more years’ experience in internal controls and/or contract management.
Working knowledge of Investor-Owned Utility-led Energy Efficiency programs, policies, and methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Cloud Suite applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerBI, etc.).
Familiar with Contract Management concepts and principles and/or Internal Controls supporting Demand-Side Management Contracts and compliance activities, including audits and data requests.
Strong oral/written communication skills, including presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.
Experience working effectively and being flexible in a variety of situations, including those involving uncertainty, lack of information, and changing circumstances.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
