Overview
Stellar is seeking a team-oriented Architect to join our establishedarchitecture and design department. The ideal Architect candidate will be aprofessional with current, working knowledge of architectural buildingdesign to include floor plan development, building layout, structuralcoordination, architectural assemblies, architectural details, buildingcode, and more. The Architect candidate must have an advanced knowledge ofRevit Architecture. Our projects are industrial, focusing on the foodprocessing industry. Prior experience in the food processing industry is notrequired, but a strong industrial background is preferred.
Responsibilities
Master planning, programming, careful preparation of workingdrawings, calculations, specifications, and budget/man hour estimatesfor complex architectural projects in a design-build environmentOverseeing production of complete construction documents on multipleprojects for the construction of facilities often exceeding 100,000 sfDetailed coordination with multiple in-house disciplines and/orout-of-house consultantsManaging/directing CAD and designer staffLife safety and code analyses, and detailed reviews of existingfacilities for code complianceTravel to project construction sites, client meetings, meetings withbuilding officials, and travel to existing facilities for feasibilitystudies and site inspectionsWorking with our construction team to determine the best details andmaterials to ensure quality in the product we deliverConstruction Administration including review of submittals and clearlyanswering Requests for InformationDevelop concept plans and schematic designs,Design development to include enlarged plans, sections, details, andfinishes, interdisciplinary coordination, and responding to RFIs
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Masters of Architecture degree from an NAAB accrediteduniversity4+ years of industrial design experienceRevit Architecture experienceNCARB Certification preferredLEED accreditation preferredCurrent architectural license in any state preferredAbility to travel up to 15%
