Role summary:
As Director of Content Engineering and Operations, reporting into Splunk's Senior Director, Information Experience, you will play a pivotal role to optimize content creation and publication for the team. You will manage a team that works to optimize content quality, health, and production efficiency through practices, processes and tools. You'll work with core partners across organizations to modernize, maintain the documentation toolchain and content architecture. You will increase efficiency, support and empower writers, and enable capabilities such as content creation, publication and use, localization, and personalization. You'll work with other teams to ensure the systems and processes for content are scalable, support the content strategy, and well integrated into key systems and drive successful customer experiences with content.

10+ years of experience in content operations, content system architecture, technical documentation, content strategy, editorial, and related fields.6+ years of managing teams focused on content toolchains and systems.Proven success in migrating structured authoring systems, and efficiently integrating content toolchains with localization systems.Deep understanding of processes and systems that scale with ability to drive content architectures and metadata structures that are flexible and allow for organic growth.Passion for driving long-term content quality excellence and serving as a champion for content creators.Strong understanding of technical documentation best practices and information architecture.Successful experience guiding writing teams through new content systems and tools.Demonstrated ability to drive content quality, accuracy, and consistency.Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in content engineering and operations.What We Offer You:

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $205,600.00 - 282,700.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $184,000.00 - 253,000.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $172,000.00 - 236,500.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
