JOB OVERVIEW- The Infirmary Unit provides 24-hour nursing coverage for the medical management of 1400 inmates. * * Answer patient calls and determine how to assist them. * Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patient’s conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment. * Provide basic patient care or treatments, measure and record patients vital signs, dressing wounds, treating bed sores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging or performing catheterizations. * Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions. * Assist physician with diagnostic procedures, treatment regimens and patient examinations according to standards of practice. * Report to higher level nurse or doctor when unexpected health changes or identified or when level of care indicated is out of the scope or practice. * * *REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS /Applications submitted without required materials may not be considered./ * Resume * State of Montana Application Materials submitted but not requested will not be considered in the selection process.
